Hand-Hammered Copper Log Holder

The hearth grows even warmer through this Arts & Crafts/Mission copper log holder, with riveted construction, a planished (dimpled) surface worn by decades of warming itself by the fire, and a beautiful twisted-rope copper handle, all resting on blackened wrought-iron feet. A fireplace isn’t necessary to enjoy this piece; use it as a cradle for farmer’s market flowers, a caddy for blankets, or to display a stack of dog-eared magazines.

American, c. 1910-1913, handle can stand up or lay flat (hence the dual dimensions).

Dimensions: 13.5" tall with handle up x 17" long x 13" wide. 10" tall with handle down
